Tutoring & mentoring
Supporting students to achieve academically and personally.
We combine one-to-one tutoring in core subjects with personalised mentoring to help young people grow in confidence, improve attendance, and reach their potential.
A joined-up approach to learning and wellbeing
At Regenerate Mentoring, we understand that many children who fall behind academically are also struggling with confidence, motivation, or challenges outside of school. Our Tutoring & Mentoring service bridges that gap, providing tailored academic support in Maths and English, delivered by tutors who work closely with our experienced mentors.
This integrated approach ensures each student receives both the academic guidance and the personal encouragement they need to thrive.
Our Tutoring & Mentoring service is designed for:
- Pupils in Key Stages 2–4 (Years 4–11) needing extra help in Maths and/or English
- Students who have lost confidence or motivation in school
- Young people with low attendance or at risk of disengagement
- Learners with special educational needs (SEN) or social, emotional and mental health needs
- Pupils preparing for GCSEs or transitioning to college
Whether commissioned by a school, local authority, or parent, every programme is built around the individual learner’s goals and learning style.
Each student begins with an informal assessment and conversation so we can understand their current level, preferred way of learning, and any wider support needs.
From there we create a personalised learning plan that may include:
- Weekly one-to-one tutoring sessions in Maths or English
- Ongoing mentoring to build confidence, focus and resilience
- Regular communication with parents and/or schools
- Progress reviews every 6–8 weeks
Sessions can take place in school, at home, or within the community, depending on what’s most suitable for the student.
We believe education should nurture both the mind and the person.
Our tutors and mentors work together to help students:
- Strengthen subject knowledge and key skills
- Build positive study habits and concentration
- Develop self-belief and communication skills
- Increase motivation and independence
- Re-engage with learning and achieve sustainable progress
All tutors and mentors are DBS-checked, trained in safeguarding, and experienced in supporting diverse learning needs.
